Statutory Trusteeships - Expert Financial Advice

Statutory Trusteeships

Statutory trusteeship appointments occur in various circumstances including:

  • Proceedings under the Family Court whereby an appointment is made for the sale of a business or specific assets, usually property, equipment and vehicles
  • There is a dispute between co-owners and an appointment is required to sell the assets subject to the dispute
  • A property is owned jointly with an individual who is a bankrupt and the other joint owners will not purchase the equity from the Trustee in Bankruptcy or will not join with the Trustee in Bankruptcy to have the property sold and the funds distributed among the owners

The Court generally makes such appointments. We have extensive experience in acting in the above capacity and have appeared in Family Court matters.
